Well, in Britain at least, you would be extremely unlucky to come across any bears. However, you could bear witness to some of the most extraordinary science that man can experience.
In this age of technology, the science of nature cam sometimes fall by the wayside in favor of new and exciting fields of science. This is can be understandable as these new technological breakthroughs will undoubtedly shape the future world. But the science of nature is not only vital to our survival of the human race, it is also something that has been continuous since the dawn of man, a link back to the days of neanderthals.
This blog will look into many aspects of science that are easily experienced in a forest with minimal preparation. Not content with simply stating how science can be encountered in the woods, this blog will delve deep into the scientific ideas behind these experiences.
Surely one day bears, wolves and elk will be reintroduced in a wild place somewhere in Britain - in fact the EU tells us that we should reintroduce species that we have made extinct in the past.
